Guest guest
<<I had surgery one month ago for Scoliosis! >> Hi, Everyone......I just about fell off the chair reading this!!! Wow....you gained two whole inches!!! Where did you have your surgery done? I just met with Dr Gelb in Baltimore and plan to have my back done next year.....after we get moved into our new house. I, too, was dx'd at age 16 and have a terrible S curve that is slowing taking away inches form my height and keeps me in chronic pain. I was told I couldn't left anything heavier than a gallon of milk for 6 months....which is the ONLY reason I am waiting till next year. I would just bend down and pick up some heavy box loaded with household stuff and not give it a second though. I am REALLY going to have a hard time with the 'no lifting' part.....I am sooooooooo use to doing everything myself. .....good luck with Liam and his brace. Maybe a few yrs down the road, they will have better surgery/therapies for scoliosis. When I was 16, they wanted to do surgery and I would have been in a cast for a year!!! No thank you!!! Now at age 52, they don't even put you in a cast or brace afterwards!!! Take care, Everyone. She had limited mobility but it didn't seem to stop her. Recently I was at an event that several women from my high school class (1980) attended. When this gal walked in we all commented on how great she looked. Here we all were started to " droop " but she walked in straight and tall!!!! Guest guest
I was barely 5'1 and now i am 5'3, i am very petite and haylee is about 40 lbs. it was very, very hard and i have to say i think i may have had a mild case of depression afterwards because i absolutely could not do a thing with haylee and it was hard. my husband had to take over with baths, meals, outings, etc. he even had to bathe me and pull me on a sheet to get me comfortable. i did overdue it sometimes just because your mom and you feel like you had to. i get tired very quickly now and have to lay down frequently to give my back a rest. my doctor really didnt give me any restrictions he said to just listen to my back and to slowly bend over each day but i have to say a few days after the surgery i couldnt even bring a glass of water to my mouth. i was on hard pain meds for two weeks after that extra strenghth tylenol. I had my surgery in Mobile, AL. he said i shouldve had this surgery ten years ago and if i chose not to have the surgery when i am in my sixties i wouldnt be able to get out of bed and just miserable. well i tried to put this surgery off as long as i could but having a child, my husband also deploys frequently, was just killing me. i would wake up every single morning so stiff and any activity would bring pain afterwards. Im not shy at all so ill just say it........my breasts were so UNEVEN, seriously, and now they are perfect! Now im not saying im Pam , just even and i feel better about that. mfroof@... wrote: > > <<I had surgery one month ago for Scoliosis! >> > > Hi, Everyone......I just about fell off the chair reading > this!!! > Wow....you gained two whole inches!!!
