Guest guest
Cyndy, I've never had to postpone, but like said, I've also had very close calls. My daughter had a fever three days before her 1st cast and they said as long as she was fever free for 48 hrs, she was still goog to go. I guess every doctor is different but its so frustrating not to get them in (especially their 1st cast). Good luck and I'll be thinking of you and Londynn. Melinda Mommy of Marlycia 1yr (cast #2, 0 degrees), Natalya 26 mnths Scranton, PA 1st Casting Postponed due to ear infectionTo: infantile_scoliosis Date: Tuesday, February 9, 2010, 2:54 AM We are Disappointed! We were looking forward to starting the casting process this week. We feel that every minute that ticks by is a minute of wasted correction time. The doc says we have to be illness free for a month - How do you keep a child with chronic ear infections well for a month? We were scheduled to get tubes when we got back from casting, but now we are considering going ahead with the tubes in hopes that it will help us stay healthy enough to be casted. Has anyone else had to postpone their casting dates?Cyndy - Grandma of Londynn (13 months)
