We need to hear from families regarding Respite Care...PLEASE!

etter Hunter and I will approach the county with our concerns regarding the

Respite Care nightmare here in Lehigh County, PA. Please, if you have applied

for Respite care and are not receiving it , please let me know by personal email

as to what the reason behind it is. ette has asked the County several

times how long a family has to wait and she has been told 30 to 60 days. I just

informed her we have been without since Dec, 2006 due to all the new referrals

they are getting in. We started at #2 on the waiting list back then, and have

been pushed all the way back of the list for the new ones (which I fully

understand); however, they need to get more caregivers to cover the need for all

of us.
