Maureen>> Hi Everyone........Maureen....Gareth has been on Risperdal for over 9 yrs. He gained 20#s the first two months but leveled off after that. I have tried repeatedly to wean him off it but the aggression, head banging, zoned out, non-compliance, teeth grinding, etc, all come back strong. He's miserable and we are too. It's a life saver for Gareth and our family. If you try it and don't like what you see then you can stop. You will never know, though, until you try. Start at a low dose and increase slowly.
