I've got a question maybe someone can help me with. I've had a sore throat and I have to constantly clear my throat all the time. This has been going on for months and for the last month has gotten worse. It real red all the time. I've had cultures and everything is neg. I don't have drainage or allergies, I don't have an infection and my reflux is somewhat under control so it's not that either. I can't figure this out or what to do next. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I also have a sore throat, but now my sore throat also

goes along w/ sinus drainage, fever, nausea, and cough---

the FLU!!

Have you had your WBC checked? What meds are you on?

Some meds can cause sore throats and can be a sign of

toxicity.

Hmm not sure what else to tell you then, did you say you stil have

tonsils? Is your throat red and inflammed? It must just be some viral

thing. Lately I wake up with the driest mouth I have ever had in my

life, wish I could figure out what that is all about, blah, it is

enough to really drive me nuts, maybe a side effect from the steroids

I have been on.

Shirl I wanted to email you but I can't seem to get my email to you,

are you not accepting my emial or is something goofy with your

server? I had something I wanted to ask you about and I wish you

would contact me so I can do so, I have a friend who is looking to

corespond with someone who is as sick as her, and I know that your on

disability and pretty ill, I thought maybe the two of you could

corespond. Anyhow if your interested I can give you her address, she

is very ill and depressed....let me know.

Hey one last thing, listerine, have you tried that?

Were you having problems before the minocycline?

I been on other stomach meds in the last year. I started the pepcid 3 or 4 months ago...not sure really how long I've been on it. But I've always had this problem, it just seems to be getting worse lately.

Hi Shirl,

I'm not sure if this will help you but check out this web site. Ann is a registered nurse, she is very helpful and knowledgeable about curing the stomach naturally. Perhaps she may be able to suggest something for you.

Shirl,

I really don't know why you are having the throat

problems. The only thing I can think of is if the

pepcid has caused your mouth/throat to be dry and is

causing adverse effects. You are on a high (over the

recommended dosage) of pepcid, but I figure that if your

throat/mouth were dry, you'd know it. Sometimes

medicine just doesn't have answers to some questions....

Good luck,

Thanks for the suggestion . I was on prevacid for a while but it did work for me. I may go back through the meds that I've already tried and try them all again if I don't get relief for my throat problems. My stomach doesn't feel too bad these days. It's mainly my mouth and throat.

Hi Anita,

I have these same symptoms, My fatique has just recently began to

decrease I think because of the meds finally kicking in a bit. I

know initially I told my husband that I felt the extreme fatique was

much more bothersome than anythingelse about having this RA thing :)

:)

cannot keep my eyes open and I fall asleep just sitting on the couch

or at my computer chair. And that is very unusual for me. I also

find it hard to drive, because I have almost fallen asleep. Which I

do not drive anymore when I a extremely exhausted. Does anyone else

have this problem? Is this caused by the RA? I do not go to my

Rheumatologist until Oct. 4th. I also have polycystic ovarian

syndrome and I know that causes fatigue as well. This extreme

fatigue has recently started about a month or so ago. It is not

extreme everyday, but I am tired everyday. Just wondering if this

is normal for RA.

Dear Anita, Sorry to hear all that you're going through. Maybe you should call your RA doctor and let them know. Are you due for bloodwork? Write me when you can! Love, Anita ez <coolcat1022@...> wrote:
