[DS-Autism] Update on Trisha and the sign language evaluation

A brief update on the sign language evaluation for Trisha. It took what

seemed forever but we finally had the evaluation/analysis done in May and I

received the report just last night and I was so happy with the report. I

admit

I was nervous of what the report would say but it was very detailed and spot

on in regards to what they observed and it also validated what I have been

saying for years. Now we have to have a meeting to discuss the report with

the IEP team and go from there. It was so good to hear that one of the excuses

the school district had about signing was proved not to be what they claimed

that no one would understand her approximations of signs but they did

understand her attempts, not all but a good amount. Their recommendations were

good as well so I was very happy with the report and I hope it helps us to get

her an aide that is fluent in sign to work with her daily.
