Guest guest
Hi, Everyone......Amy....Gareth started on Prozac at age 6. The dosage sounds good....starting low and going slow. Just remember, though, that if you see negative/worsening behaviors 'right off the bat' then, you can stop or switch to another SSRI. Don't put your daughter through 6-8 weeks of hell just 'waiting for the meds to kick in.' ....please forgive my 'brain fog' but where do you live? Is Lancaster close enough for me to be of service? Gareth hasn't been in vocational classes at all and he is 'graduating' next week and on to PSU's Lifelink program. Our kids have many years ahead to learn a trade.....3 after HS alone....or till they turn 21. Stick to your gut instinct and continue with the academics if he is progressing. a....first impression....GERD. Gastric esophageal reflux...that's the age we found Gareth's. When he was scoped, they said his esophagus looked like raw meat from all the acid. Because of the autism, though, he never indicated he was in pain. Maybe a swallowing test and an endoscopy would help answer that. Take care, Everyone. Margaret ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
