Guest guest
Trisha had to get blood work today and she had to fast for 12 hours before she had the blood drawn. I am so proud of her as she handled the fasting with minimum distress. Of course she kept asking to eat but she waited and she did pretty well getting the blood drawn. She whimpered just a tad when he put the band on and then again when he inserted the needle but after that she sat there quietly watching him draw the blood. Now here is the kicker, when he said ok Trisha you are all done she burst into full blown tears accompanied by sound effects. Trisha has been having some breathing problems when walking around the school or stores so her doctor is setting up a cardiology and pulmonary appointments to have this checked out. We believe part of it is from being over weight but her blood pressure was up a little (of course she was crying the whole time they were trying to get the blood pressure) so we don't have reliable reading on it and the Dr. said the cardiologist would be able to get a better reading. She will also be seeing her thyroid Dr., Dermatologist and the orthopedist. I'm sure when all of this is over she will be happy not to see any more Drs. for awhile. lol We also have part 4 of her IEP next week so we will see how that goes. Trisha is getting used to her laptop now and I made her an interactive book using boardmaker/spdrp and she just loves it. Of course she keeps clicking on the work sleeping because a mini-movie pops up with Pooh snoring and she loves that. She has learned 4 new words since I started the book and I will keep adding pages of sentences with pop-up movies as we go along. Just thought I'd update a little on what is going on with Trisha, hope everyone is well and enjoying the warm weather. :-) Carol Trishasmom She isn't typical, She's Trisha! _TEAL Carol Trishasmom She isn't typical, She's Trisha! _ (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TechnologyinEducationforallLearners/) _TEAL_ (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TechnologyinEducationforallLearners/) ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
