Hi,

Yeah, Proviron does reduce SHBG and thereby increases free T. It is

chemically similar to DHT.

When I took it it certainly did increase the frequency of nocturnal

and morning erections, but it didn't increase libido. So I think for

me the lack of libido is a neurotransmitter problem.

It's worth trying if you have low levels of free T and/or high SHBG.

But you need to be careful that you don't reduce your estrogen levels

too much because proviron is also an aromatase inhibitor.

This is exactly my problem. I wake up with some libido/arousal. Soon

after it dissipates. Turns out my free T is very low - 10.4 (range

10.8-40.0). So I'm working towards getting this level up towards at

least the middle of the range. I'm taking Tongkat Ali, then will

probably add a low dose of Clomid at some point. BTW my total T is

544.

I think low T is only part of my problem.

Proviron appears to help some people who are on an SSRI get back

their libido and erections (I would only recommend low or moderate

doses of Proviron (i.e. 25mg per day):
