Guest guest
Just curious... I'm sure all of us wonder what caused us to get this lovely disease. I know that I had mono at 16 which is caused be the E-Bar virus. I wonder over time if that caused my immune system to go haywire and contributed to the Stills to develop. If any of you have had mono in your lifetime, I would love to know to see if there is some correlation. Thanks, Eleanor
Guest guest
I am making a list of who has what symptoms, supplimental illnesses and making a percentage table based on data received, but I too had Mono as a child, and a bout with EBV (Epsteim Barr Virus) that had me bed ridden in May and June of this year. Perhaps we can find some missing links? Caroline Elan727@... wrote: Just curious... I'm sure all of us wonder what caused us to get this lovely disease. Guest guest
Hi Eleanor, Patty here; The Arthritis Foundation site has some info on Still's and JRA, it does say something about our immune system being more suseptible to Mono and Chicken Pox. These are the only two illnesses I did get as a 13 and 15 year old. My Still's onset was at 18. Just several months ago in October, I too ask similar questions and many were kind enough to share, so you should find those experiences in the past posts of October, I believe it was. Good luck, till soon, Melt > Just curious... I'm sure all of us wonder what caused us to get this lovely > disease. I know that I had mono at 16 which is caused be the E-Bar virus.
