Guest guest
Perhaps Plaster of Paris (from hardware or craft supply places) that is made in thin sheets. . . once dry it will crack when you push on it. Craig loves to crack eggs when he helps me bake or make eggs, but what he really gets into is cracking/crumbling the empty (but still yukky) shell when we're done. I never knew Plaster of Paris was made in thing sheets---or do I buy the regular plaster or paris and make it into sheets myself? Either way--I think it might work! Thank you so much! I don't know if " crinkling " will be a good as " cracking " though!! Why are our kids so picky with their stimming?? Ha ha! As if you don't have enough on your mind, you certainly don't need to add " what cracks like an eggshell but won't cause samonella? " to your list!! Guest guest
" Can anyone think of any toy/gadget/anything that might mimic the texture of an eggshell? Bubblewrap is great, but nothing like an eggshell. " Have you tried cellophane wrap? It isn't hard like an egg shell, but makes the crackly sound. It lasts a long time too. Janie loved to play with it when she was littler. She also likes cracking eggs, with help, but tosses the shells. Or if she gets the egg by herself she tosses that. It is so cool to see it splatt on the floor! She doesn't much like cleaning it up though. She is really interested in cooking right now and finally gets that a hot pan is really hot! P.
