Guest guest
LOVE that photo! Cute. [Attachment(s) from Donnell included below] Hello and Welcome to Multiples-DS Hello everyone it has been a while since I have posted My name is like Kathy I have 2 chilren with DS 8yr and Cruz 1yr. I did take the supplements she suggested when I found out my second son had DS. My husband thought the risk of him having severe developmental delays would be higher because of my age so we agreed that any supplement that would assist in his development was worth trying. I adjusted the way I took the prenatals from my doctor to the prenatals from nutrivene. Those supplements from Nutrivene need to be prescribed Kathy I dont know if you know that? the company will fax the information to your Doctor and your will say yay or nay. My doctor had lots of questions but she gave me the prescription as she knew I was only trying to assist my babies development. I am proud to say he was born healthy. He doesnt have the developmental delays that my 8 year old had. I dont know if it was the supplements but something worked. Here is an update of my little ones is starting to slow down and listen, he is very helpful with the babies as I have my 8 month old granddaughter living with us. If he could change the babies diapers and NOT make a mess of things he would. I love the little man he has become. He knows his alphabet by site. He still has some difficulty verbalizing what he wants but he gets his point across. Cruz just turned a year old on the 7th I cant believe it has been a year. At the moment he is doing the military crawl not pulling himself up on things as my granddaughter is doing. He sits back and watches her do the big girl stuff and He knows one day he will get there. LOL I am attaching a picture of Cruz & with The Grinch I thought Cruz would cry but to my surprise he just sat on his lap and stared. Time goes by so fast I am learning to cherish every second of my life thanks to my 2 little guys Proud mom to Jamal 30, Mitri 22, Nilsa 20, Marco 10, 8 DS, Cruz 1 DS To: " Multiples-DS " <Multiples-DS > Sent: Tuesday, December 13, 2011 7:19 PM Subject: Re: Re: Our intro http://www.nutrivene.com/dynamic_pages/NTVPrenatalProfile%20(1).pdf Here is the ingredients list for those prenatals. You actually get 360 of them and not 300 like I mentioned earlier. We are located on Long Island, NY. We are delivering at Cornell and the physicians are treating my pregnancy as if our daughter does have DS. We are meeting with a pediatric cardiologist tomorrow to look for any heart defects. I've had three level II ultrasounds to look for markers. So far my markers are thickened nuchal translucency and EIF. We are due in April so I'm assuming we will have much more monitoring in my third trimester. Do you have any special tips or question suggestions I should ask my doctor? Did anyone take Choline supplements to enhance brain development? Thanks again, Sent from my iPhone Good Luck . Where are you located? There are some great associations out there that can provide information and support. We didn't suspect Ds with our boys and only found out after they were born. We had no support and the hospital was awful with their support. If you ever need anything, reach out. Shane Wyatt, 21 months old w/ Ds. My husband's name is Jon. I am currently pregnant with twins. A boy and a girl. Our girl has an increased risk of down syndrome based on pre-natal testing results. My husband and I decided not to do an amnio so we will not know till birth if she does have down syndrome. We are definitely trying to prepare ourselves for an at birth diagnosis. I joined this board recently as a form of support. The more I hear from parents of DS children, the less I fear the diagnosis. It's been very helpful to see photos of your beautiful children and to read about how they are doing. I am very happy I found this board.
