I am so glad you shared your blog! I love it! I have never had a chance to read it before but it's great! Thanks for sharing!Meghan http://caseynconnor12409.blogspot.com/2010/02/2.htmlGod doesn't give children with special needs to strong people; He gives children with special needs to ordinary, weak people and then gives them strength. Meghan,I love reading your blog. Mine is www.lovelifeandbegentle.blogspot.com. I will see if I can find a photo or two of the boys for you. What a great thing to speak at the medical school. More physicians need to be educated on DS.mom to Amy 23, Kelsey 21, Davey (DS) 11 and Will 11 Hi everyone! We are all doing quite well. Casey and Connor will be getting Sure Step orthotics on Wednesday and we are hoping that it will help to actually get them walking. They are becoming more verbal and have two signs they use consistently- more and milk. They are happy, healthy boys who have discovered Sesame Street and they love it. This is the first thing they have ever shown any real interest in on a regular basis so, that will be the theme for their second birthday party.I recently was given a chance to speak to first year medical students at Case Western Reserve university in Cleveland. Case is one of the top med schools in the country and every year they have parents of children with DS come and speak to small groups of 1st year med students. I was honored to participate this year and they asked some great

questions and I was told I enlightened them about DS and all the possibilities for our kids. I was also asked if I would return next year. Casey and Connor will be on a billboard for our county DD board letting people know about early intervention services. I can't wait to see my babies bigger than life! Also, they will be featured in an article in the Akron Beacon journal coming out on October 2 or 9 for DS awareness month. Lots of great things for my guys!On to my request- I am making a DS awareness video. I am using pictures from all my friends that are local and those on FB but I wanted to extend the invitation to this group as well. Last years video was sent out in our local DS group newsletter, on YouTube, and re-posted all over FB. This years' will also be featured at a New Parent's DS group and will be available for all participants

to re-post and email. If you are interested I would need your pictures by Sunday. I was going to end submissions today but would love to have any of you interested in participating able to send something as well. You can either email me an attachment to meghan_wilkinson10808@... OR if we are FB friends just tag me in the photo(s) you wish to submit. Thanks for reading!Meghan (momma to Casey and Connor 21 mos, identicals with DS) http://caseynconnor12409.blogspot.com/2010/02/2.htmlGod doesn't give children with special needs to strong people; He gives children with special needs to ordinary, weak people and then gives them strength.
