Guest guest
I recieved from the Boppy company two full sized Boppys, plus about a hundred brochures. They do not have anything about ordering the products, it is simply a guide to what they offer product-wise. On one page, it DOES show a nursing mom, and a bottle feeding dad. It has one additional nursing picture, and one additional dad bottle feeding picture. On this page it states how wonderful a Boppy is, whether you choose to nurse or bottle feed. It does NOT say formula feed, but BOTTLE feed, which could mean formula or EBM. What are your thoughts on allowing clients to have access to these types of brochures? Guest guest
My opinion? The boppy is the worst nursing pillow on the market. It puts baby in a crappy position and is uncomfy for mom. How many moms have had all nipple pain and positioning challenges corrected SIMPLY from ditching the boppy and using a good firm bed pillow, the My Brestfriend pillow or using the Biological Nursing positioning I cannot even begin to tell you… My .02. Guest guest
I don't care for the Boppy either. Mom struggles getting it just right all the while baby is cuing to feed and getting frustrated, then she has to balance baby on top of it and he ususally ends up sliding down between it and her tummy. I much prefer to show brand new moms how to set the baby on top of that nice round post-partum tummy. They laugh when I call it a built-in-boppy. - Subject: Re:Your thoughts on Boppy catalogueTo: Date: Wednesday, June 10, 2009, 2:08 PM My opinion? The boppy is the worst nursing pillow on the market. Guest guest
I feel the same way about the boppy pillow. It serves no purpose for nursing mothers. I usually recommend regular pillows but if a mom wants to own one, I tell her to purchase My Breast Friend.
