Guest guest
Hello friends, Casey and Connor are doing really well and progressing fantastically. Connor has learned the sign for milk and he uses it on a regular basis. Connor also got 2 more teeth for a total of 4 and Casey has 2 more just starting to come through. Thank God for frozen waffles- they are the best teething relief I have found and they come complete with built in drool catchers. My husband lost his insurance benefits right before the boys were born and we have been paying for COBRA coverage since. We qualified for a reduced rate until this month and it has gone from being affordable and manageable to being impossible to pay. As of the end of this month we will not be able to swing the coverage financially. We are researching new insurance policies but I am really concerned about the costs when the insurance companies find out about the DS. I am wondering what you have found with insurance and the cost. We have applied for medicaid but I would rather have independent insurance if possible. Neither of our boys has any health problems at all and have each only been sick twice in 14 months- once with the stomach flu and once with an ear infection. I have been sick more than they have this year. I am at a loss with this and any help or input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much in advance!Meghan Wilkinson- momma to Casey and Connor 14 month old identicals with DS
