Guest guest
Welcome ette, I have twin sons with DS who are 21 and completing their last eligible year of public school, in what Montgomery County calls the transition program (We're still working on what that transition will be). You speak of boy/girl twins with Down syndrome. Both? I've never heard of that before, and I'll bet nobody else in this discussion group has. Fraternal twins with DS are very rare, but as I recall, the ones in this group are all the same sex. Al Veerhoff, Kensington, MD Twins with ds What is your name? 2. Guest guest
Hello ette,I am Casey, and my boy/girl twins just turned 12 in November. has DS and does not. We live in Spokane, WA and have been on this list since the twins were about 14 months old. You didn't mention which twin has DS. . .do both of them? There is another family in WA (who used to be on the list, but I haven't seen them recently) who have boy/girl twins, both of whom have DS. I'm guessing they would be about 8 or 9 now, as they were a bit younger than my two.Welcome to the group, and ask away! Between us all, there is a wealth of knowledge and experience here.CaseyTo: Multiples-DS Sent: Wednesday, December 7, 2011 10:07:33 AMSubject: Twins with ds What is your name? 2. Guest guest
Welcome ette. We've got identical twin boys, like Al, who are 6-years-old. It is also my understanding that fraternal twins, both with Down syndrome is quite rare. I vaguely recall hearing of that only once before. If I can think of where/who, I'll let you know. Guest guest
Hello ette! I am Heidi Porter, and we have Lilly who is "almost 5" (February, but she is excited about it!) and twins Teddy (DS) and ny who are 21 months old. We live in Dayton, OH - not all that far from you! How is preschool going? We are looking at kindergartens for Lilly and trying to decide if it is important or not that it be a school Teddy could attend later. All three kids are SO different and so much fun - I just wish there were more hours in the day! I'm glad you joined us! Best wishes,HeidiSent from my iPhone It has been great to see everyone checking in...
