Wow, you are lucky you got to stay home so long! Great for Dad too. My hubby has done a lot of the kid raising too. Could not have done it without his love and patience. He really enjoys being the stay at home parent and so do the boys. I think the boys were about the same age when we started them on solids. I remember starting with fresh sweet potatoes. What a fun mess they made. We just got used to huge messes in the kitchen. LOL. Love life and be gentle, mom to Amy 23, Kelsey 21, Davey (DS) 11 and Will 11 Hi, Haven't checked in for a while, so I thought I might before I get the boot. I'm horrible with both this and my email; I read it, reply in my head and then forget to actually reply. Yet I remember to blog...? I am going to stop wondering now. My twins, Wyatt and Zoe are going to be 7 months on the 16th. I have no idea where the time has gone. I go back to work on the 23rd, so my husband is stepping up for Daddy duty. I started them on some rice cereal yesterday. I wanted to wait but they were trying to steal food off my plate. Wyatt (DS) was the one I was worried about as his head is pretty steady but not as good as his sister Zoe's. He gets tired after a while (and always slouches in the Bumbo but not in his other chairs). They did well... I thought I was going to lose a few fingers there for a minute. Wyatt only pushed a little of the food out of his mouth and seemed to do his own swallowing thing, but he did well. Any tips for starting solids with our multiples? I'm always open for suggestions and tips. I think that is all. Hope all is well! Jen, Mom to Quinn (5), Wyatt (DS) and Zoe (6 mos)

Awww, I remember this stage!! Since it was just me and the kids (not "family dinner time", I put both kids in their infant car seats on top of the kitchen table with me strategically placed between them (and the handle turned down to support the seat in as upright of a position as it could be). I could provide one bite to the left, one to the right, one to the left, etc. I don't remember when I switched to the high chairs, but I think (no DS) was in one before, , as his head control was better. I also remember mixing a bit of prunes in with rice cereal before long, as the rice had a constipating effect almost right away. . .it's all a blur now, though! :) Good luck!Caseymom to (DS) and , almost 12To: Multiples-DS Sent: Sunday, September 11, 2011 12:43:16 PMSubject: Feeding fun
