That bit is beyond his control. Pharma has so much cash that only they can fund

the studies now required to satisfy the FDA. No one else could ever raise the

funds needed for a clinical study on any significant scale. And no Govt has the

power to tell industry how to conduct research.

That bit won't change.

But science doesn't exist only within the pharam industry, so I do welcome his

comments as they will apply elsewhere.
