Guest guest
YIPPEE!!! I've successfully completed my first week of " TaeBo - the second time around " <G>. I've seen some great results as far as attitude, outlook and motivation so that has been wonderful. My pain meds have decreased! Today I didn't take my first pain pill until 9:00 a.m. which was after a work out and two hours later than usual (without a workout)! I have met about 70% of my food-oriented goals, and have been able to add more protein back into my diet. Although I'm having a hard time with breakfast…protein just does not appeal to me in the mornings. I also haven't been good about my water intake. So those will be my focuses this upcoming week. My two biggest accomplishments were 1) only working out 4 times this week - with a history of exercise addiction, that was so hard for me, but I feel great and 2) I had procrastinated having a difficult conversation with close friends of mine, who I co-own a dog with as I knew it was going to get " ugly " . But Monday night, I came home, did some TaeBo, relaxed and then braved the phone call. As expected, it was quite stressful, however I managed to keep my control and keep us focused on the specific agreement and not get petty and bicker over other things. That is a first for me as I grew up with " yelling " as a way of life <G>. I also do not want to lose friends over something so small in the scope of life and knew that I needed to be strong. I really feel that TaeBo helped me get through that difficult phone conversation. Even my boyfriend commented that he saw a positive change in how I dealt with the situation. I'm sorry this is so long-winded but I wanted to say thank you to everyone on this list and to Blanks (thank you thank you thank you) for helping me reach some of my goals and supporting me. I understand now that this time I am actually embracing new concepts and a lifestyle change rather than a sense of urgency to " get in shape " or " lose weight " . And I feel much better about myself. In fact, my body is not in half the " shape " it was 5 years ago, but you know what…I feel better! In fact, I feel damn good today!! <G> Colleen Prickett, who would love any good breakfast suggestions that have a good source of protein _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
