Guest guest
ilene, my 6th child and 3rd son, was type 1 TT, had a receding chin, torticollis, low tone, a weak suck, and allergies. he also had a keyhole palate. i'd been continuously breastfeeding for 14 years at that point, a member of LLL for as long; an LLL leader for 10 years. he had brick dust urine, and no poops after his meconium was out. when he did poop, about 4 days later, it was solid. (it was also profuse, however). i had never seen anything like that. i found out much later that it may have been thyroid related. when i saw chele marmet at the lactation institute, she said he would have been FTT had i not been tandem nursing. his 2 year old brother nursed like a newborn, and saved my supply, so i did not need to pump. i hope that helps in some way. nadja catano, mother of 8, LLLL, MA, IBCLC, RLC Think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege.
