Yes, I've gone home with Oxygen for my little (now 11 and doing great health wise) and my because of them NOT being able to keep their oxygen levels up to good levels on their own. They needed help! We had about 50 feet of line and we put the machine in the middle of the house so they could go either way without a problem. Eventually, got his tonsils out....as we found out his tonsils grew so large that he couldn't saturate his oxygen levels properly. We came home from the hospital saturating at 100% once the tonsils were out and no more oxygen equipment was needed. It's not a big deal at all to go home on oxygen. I had to "argue" with my pediatricial to let him go home and I'm so glad I did, as the problem was not solved for several months and really needed the help! Hope you can take home your little soon! My prayers are with you!

My daughter, (DS) has been in the hospital for 6 days now. She was admitted for bronchittis, atelectasus, and possible bacterial pneumonia. She has been on Oxygen this entire time, and is ok to be released, but we just can't get her off the Oxygen! Our doctor says it's very common in kids with DS. Has anyone else experienced this?~ mom to (DS) and Caden-just turned 2!Sent from my iPhone Windows Live™: Keep your life in sync. Check it out.
