Guest guest
We had the partial tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy and were told that reflux was a possible temporary outcome as a function of the change in the structure of the throat (no big giant lump in the back of their throats) until the boys healed and got used to the new unblocked throat... but it did not happen to us. xo maggie Mom to Olivia '01 and & '05 (IDs w/ DS) www.walkonthehappyside.blogspot.com To: Multiples-DS Sent: Sun, March 7, 2010 9:59:54 PMSubject: Acid Reflux? A good friend of mine has a son who has mosaic DS. He has been through some struggles lately, and I wanted to ask you all if any of your children have experienced this. About two weeks after he had his adenoids and tonsils removed he started vomiting. He wakes up in the middle of the night to vomit, and throws up all through out the day. He had a scope done with biopsies and it shows mild acid reflux. They really don't have any answers as to why he is doing this. One doctor stated that he may do it for attention. Of course that made momma mad! Most seem to think it is from a very sensitive gag reflex. Has anyone else's child experienced any of this? ~ mom to (DS) and Caden 3 yrs.
