Guest guest
BTW, I was on Pseudoephedrine HCI 30mg http://www.sudafed.com/products/sudafed.html not Phenylephrine HCl 10mg http://www.sudafed.com/products/sudafed_pe.html its kind of confusing but Pseudoephedrine is suppose to be the stronger one. Guest guest
That's very interesting. Thanks for the info and please let us know how things go when you try it again. Were any of the effects persistent? I mean, did the improved orgasm sensation persist after you stopped taking it? There must be something to it because I found a reserach proposal to look at the effecs of Sudafed on improving arousal and orgasm in people taking SSRIs (see below): O4) A RANDOMIZED, PLACEBO-CONTROLLED TRIAL OF PSEUDOEPHEDRINE IN SSRI-INDUCED FEMALE SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION (Research Proposal)Kate M. Munnoch, Phil Hahn, L. Reid Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Queen's University, Canada. Background: Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are commonly prescribed for depression. SSRIs associated sexual dysfunction (impaired arousal and anorgasm) can be extremely distressing for many couples and can lead to non-compliance with treatment. Certain SSRIs may have fewer sexual side effects but one possibility if a woman wished to stick with her current treatment is to take a second drug in anticipation of sexual activity to counteract the arousal and orgasmic consequences of the SSRI. Pseudoephedrine is an alpha and beta agonist commonly used in the treatment of nasal congestion and reportedly used by some elite athletes to increase mental arousal before certain sports (hockey). Anecdotal reports suggest that ingestion of pseudoephedrine [sudafedĀ®] prior to intercourse facilitates improved arousal and orgasmic potential. Primary Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of pseudoephedrine taken immediately prior to sexual activity to overcome SSRI-induced absence of, or delay in achieving, orgasm. Patient Population: Inclusion criteria: Premenopausal women between the ages of 18 and 45 on an SSRI for the treatment of depression, who suffer from anorgasmia or delayed orgasm attributable to the SSRI. Must have been taking their SSRI for a minimum of 10 weeks, and on a stable dose which adequately controls depression. Exclusion criteria: Women with preexisting sexual dysfunction, women taking medications or with medical conditions (eg hypertension) for whom pseudoephedrine would be contraindicated, and women using other therapies for sexual dysfunction. Recruitment of subjects will be done through advertisements in newspapers and throughout the hospital. Study Design: The study will be a double-blind, randomized control trial comparing pseudoephedrine with placebo. After a control month during which baseline orgasmic frequency and satisfying sexual events will be documented subjects will be randomly assigned to receive either two months of pseudoephedrine or placebo (30 min prior to anticipated sexual events) followed by a one month "washout" phase with crossover to the opposite treatment for a further two months. The Female Sexual Function Index, a validated tool to assess overall sexual dysfunction and the Female Sexual Distress Scale (revised) will be completed at the start of the study, and monthly throughout the study. A diary evaluating delayed, or inability to achieve, orgasm and satisfaction with the sexual encounter will be completed for each sexual event. Analysis: Percentage of events associated with orgasm and overall number of Satisfying Sexual Events will be contrasted for treatment and placebo and compared to baseline. http://209.85.165.104/search?q=cache:gMI7k-AhrPsJ:meds.queensu.ca/medicine/obgyn/pdf/OBGYN_Research_Day_2006.pdf+orgasm+sudafed & hl=en & ct=clnk & cd=26 & gl=us Vornan >> Hi all, I have had some good results with Sudafed in short term. Guest guest
I dont know since I orgasmed only on the day I took it. And the next day after I rested to recover. I think I felt the feeling lasted for another day though , Im not sure, but it was very mild to a point I think its effect died out pretty quickly. > > > > Hi all, I have had some good results with Sudafed in short term.
