Guest guest
Hi, All. This is an amazing newspaper article. http://www.salem-news.com/articles/june272010/marijuana-infants-sc.php Very easy-to-read article about naturally-occuring cannabinoids found in breastmilk and how these might help babies to be hungry. Also an interesting set of statistics she found in a research article about death rates in infants who test positive or negative for various drugs at birth: "No drugs at birth" deaths....... 15.7 deaths per 1000 live births "Cocaine positive" deaths.......17.7 deaths per 1000 live births "Opiate positive" deaths.......18.4 deaths per 1000 live births "Cannabis positive" deaths.... 8.9 deaths per 1000 live births [5] From this, it would appear that mothers who smoke pot might actually decrease their baby's risk of dying. Definitely something to think about. Dee Kassing
