Guest guest
i HAVE SEEN THE SAME THING ON RECIPES. I think it makes the batter lighter.  Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Saturday, June 2, 2012 12:49 AM Subject: Re: I made Quinoa Flour (and Popcorn Patties)  Melody, why do you use club soda rather than just plain water? Guest guest
In my tuna salad I like to put a boiled egg into a 3 or 4 oz can of Albatross white lump tuna. And mayo and a bit of honey mustard and celery. Maybe some parsley or celery flakes. I like to puta bit of sweet pickles in them as well and then stir it all up and serve it on whatever bread I have. I like sprout on it too.  I do like the lightness the boiled egg gives the tuna. Then that will make 2 sandwiches, two lunches or lunch for my husband and me.  Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Thursday, May 31, 2012 10:18 PM Subject: Re: I made Quinoa Flour (and Popcorn Patties)  Hi. Just looked up tapioca starch. Loaded with carbs and it raises blood sugar so I'm not going there. I have both chia and flax. I can make chia gel by soaking some seeds and using the gelled liquid and adding that to the batter (next time that I do this). Not going to be for a while because as we go into summer I'm not going to be cooking that much. I'm doing salads and half sandwiches, etc. I'll be back in full force in October, doing my soups, etc. But for now. And I'm excited because I actually had a tuna fish sandwich for dinner (I took out all the inside of a semonlina roll) added some tuna, celery, and lots of sprouts and I was in heaven. Didn't have any popcorn patties left but thankfully I made zucchini ones. OMG, EXCELLENT. And I made some for tomorrow. Thank god I have a convection oven. Takes 5 minutes. I also saw the video about the guy who has been cooking his food in a solar oven for over 20 years. Amazing.
