What do you do when ........

My son is 6 has OCD, sensory integration disorder and possible PDD-NOS. We went

to his first drop off bday party tonight. He had to leave before the other kids

because of meds and keeping a routine (it was till 7:30 and we left 6:50). He

didn't want to leave the party then when we got home said he had an awful time,

went into the bathroom and just cried. I feel like a monster for making him

leave, and now because he is so sad. I think the noise and wildness got to him.

It was at his friends house and his friend has lots of older siblings and

friends there) I am having a hard time getting him to understand that all

families are different. Should I have let him stay longer? He wouldn't get the

rest he needs because no matter when he goes to bed he gets up the same time-I

don't know why. I just feel so sorry for him and I know he will feel sad

sometimes and I can't fix everything(he is getting older) but it is hard.
