Guest guest
Carol, that is precious. They're doing what we teach them!! can't talk, but he takes our hands and makes us do the signs. Like, he'll take our hands and make us sign " more " . I guess, in teaching him to do this " hand over hand " for so long, I guess that's how he interpreted it. They are mimicking what we are doing so if we do hand over hand with them then they return the favor so to speak. :-) Jane- yes I said rain and I must have said it ok because she didn't ask me to say it again. :-) She has been talking/babbling so much more here lately. Some of her words come out understandable but the majority doesn't not even to me. There a many words that she says that is no where near what we say. Example: snap she says what sounds like bum, stomp sounds the same a snap so I don't know how she is hearing bum for snap and stomp and splash sounds like ash which is pretty close. She can say go way real good. This morning I told her the bus was here and she said go way. lol She signs as she speaks so that helps us with signs she approximates and with words she approximates. :-) Oh, I forgot I went to check on her the other night as I heard her being restless as I walked up to her bed she was asleep but signing water. I went and got water and woke her enough to take a few sips and she laid back down and slept peacefully the rest of the night. Carol Trishasmom She isn't typical, She's Trisha! ************************************** AOL now offers free email to everyone. Find out more about what's free from AOL at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
Way to go Trisha. And Carol, did you say it so she knew you were capable of learning too? LOL! Jayne Csvillars@... wrote: I have been working with Trisha on getting her to use more word phrases well today she looked at me and signed/said " Moma say rain " . I just had to laugh. I guess she figures if I can keep telling her to say something then she would do the same for me. We had been talking about it raining tomorrow. You just gotta luv 'em!
