He's so awful at singing - he's truly a representation of a bad karaoke performance. I think LaKisha, Melinda, and Jordin were great last night. The boys just weren't as good. Sanjaya ( or the joke in our house - I mistakingly called him the female anatomy that sounds quite similar to sanjaya - I know, I'm awful!) had best go home tonight - This year is just so different from previous years... Look at you - my closest connection is that is from Chesapeake, VA which is just two towns over from where I used to live in VA! Last year, Elliot Yamin, was from Richmond, VA which was an hour away - the news had a field day with that - I can only imagine how they are eating up Chris being from Chesapeake! Glad to hear she's a sweet girl - guess that's just another life lesson for her - sometimes it's best not to document EVERYTHING! LOL! How was your weekend in the sun? Are you feeling refreshed? Or did that only last for a day once you were back to chopping, dicing, and mixing?! Wanted to ask you - do you walk EVERYDAY? 4 miles, is that what you said? How long does it take you? Are you by yourself? Trying to get back into the exercise world after an 8 month hiatus with moving and settling - feel like blubber-licious! I don't have a full length mirror in this house and was appalled when I went to Kohl's Dept store the other day and looked in the mirror! When did my Mother send her thighs down from heaven?!? UGH! We go to the musical Anything Goes at our local musical theater this Sunday. OF course we bought seasons tickets so he can sit in the same seat each time. Guest guest Posted March 16, 2007 Report Share Posted March 16, 2007 Hey Jayne, Yes, I walk every day. Unless there's a few inches of snow on the ground (a little doesn't hinder me). I stick to it like religion. Even in pouring rain. I do a tad over 4 miles. I walk even if we go away.....last year in Ireland I walked every day, and this past weekend I did my daily down in St. Simon. There's been times since opening the cafe that I've had to miss, but I don't get bummed...just make sure I stick wiht it. I plan too....like if I know Maddie is off the next day, or I am preparing for an incredibly nuts day, I wake early and do it at 6. Duff calls me Miss OCD....LOL But it was the one thing I promised myself when I started the cafe....that I wouldn't let that slip no matter how busy life got. I've been walking consistently for 9 years.....but not on a daily basis. I stepped it up to 4 miles and daily a year and a half ago, and promptly lost 20 pounds. I like the way I feel. At 47, I'm in better shape than I ever was, and I'm not willing to give that up. Dig into it Jayne; I promise you won't regret it. And yes, I did get some relaxation in while down in GA. It was so nice to get away, and I'm blessed. Blessed also with great kids. Joe and Aria came and stayed, and between them and and n and Alison, Maddie was well taken care of. I also came home to a spotless house....I'm so lucky. However, since coming back, I've been working like a DOG. Right before I left, my sister and I did our first round of advertising in the local paper. Business has been really picking up. We might have to dole out the workload which means I'll have to actually share my recipes....YIKES...LOL BTW, the kids have always called Maddie a poop flinger (we've even had to clean it off the ceiling).
