I used SSRI's for several years. After battling with

the ual side effects of delayed ejaculation which

manifested itself as not worth the pleasure, but still

had the needs. After lots of research and trial and

error, I learned to deal with it more or less, and I

wrote a response to a yahoo question recently which is

following. I would like to offer it to this group to

edit it and provide to the public an official advisory

that would be of use to others.

Yahoo Question:

I Can't ejaculate with my wife - Any Insight?

I have been married for 9 years.. No matter how long I

am F***ing her, I can't seem to C*M.. i do not seem to

have this problem with a few of my women friends..

(They were F buddies even before the marriage and in

different cities) see them once in a while when

traveling for biz..I do love my wife..but something is

not working.. Any ideas or similar situations?

It's called " an ia " and can have much to do with

emotional issues between the two of you

.. It is also a statistical phenomenon. That is, a type

of " orperant conditioning. " Anticipation of an

is stimulating. If your last dozen or so episodes were

not pleasurable, you will lose the excitement that

comes with psychological " anticipation. " That is

definately a " downer! "

The first thing to do is relax! Worrying about getting

an causes " performance anxiety " and that is

also a " downer. " Don't force yourself! Wait until you

feel you need it bad enough that you are 100% sure you

will reach . After a sufficent number of

consecuitve successes... you will be ok!

The condition is common in women, but relatively rare

in men. Therefore, I would seek medical/counseling

advice just in case. Certain medications can depress

your performance, ie. the SSRI class of like

Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Celexa, Luvox, Lexapro,

Effexor, Wellbutrin. If you have taken any of these,

refer to the second reference source listed below.

Good Luck
