Guest guest
Hi, Everyone........about 's open sore. You said it healed and then reopened. Did anyone mention 'granulation tissue' to you? The reason I am asking is because Gareth has had 8 or 9 surgeries for those pilonidal cysts on his butt. Twice they sent him home with 'marsupial wounds'....open, packed wounds that had to heal from the inside out. They said they had to do it this way because previous surgeries had left granulation tissue that wasn't healthy. They literally had to go in and scrape away old the granulation tissue and let it heal from the inside out. Once they sent him home with a wound the size of a golf ball and the second time, it was all the way to the white fascia of his tailbone. Very gross!!! But, the sores never came back in that area. Just curious as to whether the original one is surgically cleaned if it would heal better. ....that is scary hearing about Adam and his poop issues. That is one thing I have never had a problem with since Gareth was out of diapers by 31/2 .....he never lost that skill because of the autism. I can't imagine having a child in so much pain just to go poop. Take care, Everyone. Margaret
Guest guest
Margaret, No they had not. But I mentioned cutting this open and cleaning it out to the wound care specialist and he said " you will have a bigger sore and it will take just as long to heal. phy doc said they may have to clean it out and this is why I mentioned this to him. I am at a loss and tired of dealing with this.Cyndi B > > Hi, Everyone........about 's open sore. You said it healed and > then reopened. Did anyone mention 'granulation tissue' to you? Guest guest
Margaret - my advice to you is to try to get all the things you want done before the surgery because for about a month you cant do anything at all! and you will have pain afterwards, i woulve rather had ten babies than to feel the pain this surgery brought. but it does get better. I just made sure to get all the house stuff done before my surgery, any repairs, cleaning, vacations if you can. thats what we did, i was fortunate enough to have my husband home for 4 weeks. he actually went back today and i just have to feed haylee on the floor which isnt so bad but im still stuck in this house because i cannot put her in the carseat. mfroof@... wrote: > > <<I had surgery one month ago for Scoliosis! >> > > Hi, Everyone......I just about fell off the chair reading > this!!! > Wow....you gained two whole inches!!!
