Guest guest
Hi Everyone Well over a year ago we did allergy testing on Adam. Test showed that he was allergic to egg whites and dairy. So we took it out of his diet and went toward soy products or just dairy free . Which made a huge difference with his rashes and apnea. We just got the results o fhis new test He now shows an allergy to soy and no allergy to dairy. Can someone out grow an allergy?? or could it be that he has not had much of diary in the past 2 years. We took soy out of his diet and are trying to reintorduce dairy into his diet. thanks for any help michelle adams mom(3yrs old)

Yes, you can outgrow some allergies. I know my sisters children had horrible eczema due to wheat and dairy. The naturopathic physician would have them stay off the foods for awhile. Then my sister would slowly reintroduce them. They still can not have too much of either or they get very dry skin but they can eat it in moderation now. Guest guest
Hi , Did you test you rson for celiac disease prior to doing this? Just curious as lactose intolerance is sometimes the first sign of celiac disease. Anyway -people don't really " grow " allergies. However, a person can develop them at any time in life. It doesn't mean you've missed it,but rather that the potential was there, but the body dealt with it until a certain time. Celiac disease is like that. And hypotyroidism too. There are genetic markers for these that can be done. If a person has the genetic marker, it merely means they MAY develop celiac disease or hypothyroidism at some point, but it could be at any time, and there's nothing to do until then. Or, they may never develop symtpomss. The body is an amazing thing! Take care, Joan Medlen Andy's Mom. > > Hi Everyone > > Well over a year ago we did allergy testing on Adam. Guest guest
Ho Joan, Adam was tested for celiac and it was negative. Should there by more than one test for celiac? Is that something that can be developed or was that one test all he needed? thanks for your help,
Guest guest
A bit of history here.... Jordan was allergic to dairy products and regular formula so we put her on Prosobee Soy. We tried her on milk at age two... still allergic... we went to the Soy milk. She was also allergic to strawberries (that one I'm lost on) Well, when she was about four years old, she was no longer allergic to milk and strawberries. So, yes - it's possible that an allergy can be outgrown. Judi S. allergy question > Hi Everyone > > Well over a year ago we did allergy testing on Adam.
