Guest guest
<<Adam will be 4 soon. I was wonder when you all stopped using a stroller for you kids? Adam is limited in walking. He wears AFO's and is still tiny for his age. He is out growing his stroller and I am looking into a adaptive stroller. But hubby does not think it will be needed.>> Hi, Everyone.........only from my own experience with Gareth. DH didn't think he needed a stroller either at 4 yrs old and years later, we find that he has no hip socket left. DS kids have poor/weak muscles and ligaments, etc. DH ended up carrying Gareth a lot because he would flop & drop whenever he got tired. DH would get upset and angry at Gareth because " he's old enough to walk. " Well............DH found out later that Gareth couldn't really walk far even if he wanted to. We got Gareth a wheelchair when he was 12 ish. He still needs it for long walks....ie malls, craft shows, airports. I would tell you to buy the stroller and let it be Adam's safe zone. It will save a lot of hassles later. Just my two cents worth!!! Donna......congratulations and prayers for Grayson. Take care, Everyone.
