Guest guest
In light of the launch of the First Lady's initiative to end childhood obesity, I have written her a letter. I posted it on her Facebook account, but am also hand-writing a copy to send to The White House. I hope that others will write to her to encourage her to start at the beginning with this epidemic. Obama 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest Washington, DC 20006 Dear Mrs. Obama, I was excited to hear about your campaign for the children in our country to be healthier. As I'm sure you know, this starts at birth with breastfeeding. The best way to promote healthy eating and body weight in children is to promote breastfeeding as the universal feeding method for infants and children up to two years of age. Breastfeeding is known to help prevent childhood obesity, heart disease, diabetes, respiratory illness and allergies, just to name a few benefits. I hope that you will work with American mothers to support breastfeeding for the health of the generations to come.
