Guest guest
Hi everyone. I haven't posted here in a while. No big improvements for me, although if I increase the dosage of Stablon, I do get a brief increase in libido the following day, but that's it. I think Stablon has increased the intensity of orgasm, which is good. I'm going to get some blood drawn and test for prolactin, testosterone, etc. What exactly should I test for? I'm not sure what tests I should ask my doctor to order for me. I was thinking of checking thyroid function too just to be sure since hypothyroidism can lower libido. I did more reading about Stablon and found a 2004 article written by an expert who used to review hundreds of drugs for the FDA. He said that Stablon does _increase_ dopamine in the nucleus accumbens and cortex. He believes that this effect on dopamine is the real reason for Stablon's antidepressant effect. The restoration of gene expression (by Stablon) in the hippocampus, thus restoring hippocampal volume, was also proven in another study. This is based on the hippocampal theory of depression, where long-term stress causes the hippocampus to atrophy (shrink) and then depressive symptomology sets in. Either way though, for sexual dysfunction, Stablon won't cause harm, but it doesn't seem to cure SSRI-related sexual dysfunction either from what I've read. http://www.tianeptine.com How about pramipexole (Mirapex)? I also have amineptine (Survector), a dopamine reuptake inhibitor. It gives me panic attacks because of its mild stimulant effect, but it is pro-sexual. I wasn't able to try it for very long because of the panic attacks. I think if you don't have panic disorder, you should be fine. http://www.amineptine.com If anyone wants to give Survector a try, email me. Thanks. :-) > > It seems like Wellbutrin (in combination with other drugs) is a > promising option. I've got a problem, though: SRRIs & St. 's Wort > have badly messed with my ears.
