Guest guest
<<Well, in theory, they can come look for him all they want to. When they meet him, he's the quivalent of a 2 year old, isn't toilet trained, and doesn't talk. They're not really going to draft him for anything, right? It's not like he can DO anything in the selective services. How do they deal with that?>> Hi, Everyone........ALL 18 y/o males have to sign up for selective services. They only take everyone's name and address. There is not a place to mark any sort of disability down, etc. They could be deaf, mute and blind and still have to sign up. If there is a draft, then, that is when they decide based on more 'evidence' that you CAN NOT perform in the military. Also........when ever one of our kids turn 16/18, it would be a good idea to go to the Driver's licence center for your state and get them an 'official' ID. One doesn't have to drive in order to obtain it. If you are travelers, then, they will need that ID in airports, etc. Mom and Dad's word isn't worth 'squat' nowadays because of security issues. Just something to keep in mind. Prayers coming your way, . Hope all goes well. Take care, Everyone. Margaret
