Guest guest
Hello, Just got back from my Upper GI. I learned a while back that when I had my thyroid surgery back in '96 or '97 they left some bits of metal in my neck. Well today I got to see them. Holy Cow! There are about 15 to 20 of them. Is this normal I asked the doctor giving the test and she said NO! Ok so she wants me to talk to my PCP about getting them removed, they could be a reason why I am having a problem swallowing. Then on down into my esophagus, just before the top of my stomach anything I eat of drink gets stuck. Like in a pool. She said that was not normal. Now my stomach is to high. It is almost right behind my left breast. Up into my rib cage. She said that was not normal. Now down further. The barium (sp?) was not leaving my system fast enough. She said that is why I have such a hard time staying regular with my BM's (bowel movements). She said that was not normal either. But she could see no reflux going on at all. Ok so what did I learn today that I am not normal. LOL! I could have told them that right off and save the state of Idaho some money. So now I will wait and see if I get a phone call from my doctor about neck surgery. Now my guts are all grumbling and churning. I will be drinking lots of water and I bought a small bottle of milk of magnesia to help. The last thing I need this stuff backing up the works even more than it already is. OT~~ My husband and I bought new furniture yesterday. Sofa, loveseat, a Lane rocker, two endtables, coffee table, and two lamps. we also bought a new computer desk. It is so nice. In our 11 years of marriage we have never bought new furniture. We have always been given old stuff. The kids were so excited when they came home and saw the new stuff. It was so funny. Well talk to you soon, ~~I HOPE YOU DANCE~~ crimsons@...
