Guest guest
Xolair is a brand-new asthma therapy that can be injected either every two or every four weeks, depending on response. See www.xolair.com for more details. Since it's so new, that's why insurance companies are requiring pre-approval for this therapy (that and its cost). There was also an article somewhere on Yahoo, I think, that Belgian scientists have used genetically-modified versions of serums used for allergy shots and it acted more like a true vaccine instead of a tolerance-building drug! Rumor has it that within 5-10 years, there will be vaccines for allergies that will " heal " allergies...I'm keeping my eye out for that one for sure! It's interesting how many new therapies for things are starting to come in injectible form instead of pills or other things.
