Guest guest
Well, I orderd the book Zone, perfect meals in minutes, there are 150 recipes in it. They look pretty good, although it will take some time to learn to cook them. But the basic premise seems to be, eat lean protein and lots of veges. Add some fruits, and your set. Grains are allowed, but in limited quantities. I have to say, fromwhat I have experienced this past week it makes a lot of sense...and it seems to work, altough I have been pretty dependent on those balance bars!!! One thing that he says that really makes sense...your fruits and veges wilil supply you with most of your carb needs. And many centuries ago, there was no such thing as bagels, and breads. So, those people got their carbs from their fruits and veges. Interesting stuff. I have to admit, it is a whole new way of thinking for me, even after reading sugarbusters! But I think it will definitely work. I foudn after this week that I don't crave breads at all. We went to Hoss's and I could barely finish the rice on my plate. BUT THEN...I fell for the ice cream! Only a half cup, but that was all it took. And its been downhill every since. Guess I'll start again tomorrow. There is just no leeway for me. I go overboard on one thing, and I'm doomed for the rest of the day!
