Guest guest
Hello All, It has been a while since i posted i try from time to time to keep up with the posts as much as possible but life seems to get in the way. My little guy, Noah turned 6 in November. He is doing well and has sure come along way. In the past year and a half we have been through 2 BCABA for our home program and now have started with a 3rd. WE have found that just because they are certified does not mean that they are quality if ya know what i mean. You have to be careful that is for sure. The school is supposed to be doing ABA however, they are not being supervised by any BCABA so I am not too happy with the way things are going that way either. A friend of mine has just gone through a due process over the matter and it way open to the public so i attended the part of the first day, boy is that ugly and i would not want to ride that out myself without an attorney. Anyway I am starting now for my next I.E.P in april/May and ESY since that too is usually a big waste of time and Noah will going into a new class next year but at this point i want to have most of his time accounted for at school with a checklist and fill in's on a home to school commication log. He is supposed to be getting 20 hours a week at school of ABA but can you believe the school counts his shadow time as aba even though she is sitting 15 feet away from him while he stems and she is just a chit chattin away. I have not kept up and complained this last year since my husband was ill and needed surgery and we have 4 kids but I AM BACK! I remember someone on this list a few years back had a log they were willing to share was wondering if they could email it to me to give me a start so i can keep some data on them because i feel if they have to keep track of things they might pay more attention to the little guy. My husband will be retiring within the next year form the military so we no longer be able to get ABA in the home so they school is going to have to shape up. Thanks (noah 6,DS-ASD)
