Guest guest
<<We often grouse about the unhelpful and even obstructive professionals our children's needs bring into our lives, but it is so important to give " honor to whom honor is due. " This doctor sounds like a wonderful person. I hope you find out what is troubling Gareth quickly.>> Hi, Everyone.....Joan......thank you!!! You're the best. Donnell.......I have always been very lucky with having excellent doctors in what ever area we have moved to. I have never had to drop a doctor because I felt they didn't know their stuff or because I didn't like their behavior. G's PCP has known him since he was born and always took him back under his wings whenever we came back into the area. He is now in charge of the Ped unit at the local hospital......he's a smart, up to date guy with a wonderful personality to match. He doesn't send his patients to anyone that he wouldn't use himself for his kids. Cyndi.....oh, so sorry.......what a day. I thank God Gareth never got into the pooping wiping......I would be throwing up while cleaning it up.....not crying!!! <<Is there ANYONE on this list who has NOT had a MELTDOWN??>> NOOOOOOOOO!!! <<I'm sort of between a rock and a hard place because while I would like to find out and make absolutely sure that my daughter either has it or doesn't have it, I'm also scared to know because she's fully included in her classroom and I don't want the school using another diagnosis as an " excuse " to remove her from her current setting. >> Welcome to the group. What's your names and where do you live.....someone my be close by and able to help you out with local information. If your daughter is doing fine in an inclusive setting, have the autism added to her dx won't change anything. At 11, because of the autism, my son couldn't handle the loud hallways, changing classrooms, and fluorescent lights. Changes had to be made. Now in HS, he changes classes and doesn't mind all the noise, etc. Here's some sites I have marked.
