Guest guest
<<I was just curious, is it part of ASD to have episodes where the child will laugh or giggle what seems to be uncontrollably? Hi, Everyone.........I think it's the autism...lack of social skills, etc. Gareth laughs and giggles over nothing, too. That doesn't bother me. ....what does make me upset is when he laughs at me or other people who are hurt. I give him 'the look' and tell him he's being rude and that it's not a time to laugh. Even to this day, he has problems differentiating when it is appropriate to laugh and when not. ...welcome to the group. My son, Gareth, is 18 with DS/Autism/OCD. Sometimes that OCD is more of a pain in the a** than the autism!!! G's on Risperdal/Luvox for his behaviors. Once on the Risperdal (age 10) he started sleeping through the night. Take care, Everyone.
