I've been teaching for the public, and training professionals for over 16

years.....

I would say the cost is very relative to the community you serve, it is

generally about 1/3 the cost of a childbirth education series (speaking for my

area).... around here they run anywhere from $30-$50 for a 3 hour class.

community. The space and audio-visual equipment would be provided for me and

the practice would do all the promotion, registration of participants and

collect fees. I would need to bring my own teaching tools and any handouts. I

would be considered a contract employee and would be paid a flat fee for a 3

hour class.

I'd be comfortable charging that rate, too, even though it's a very low hourly rate. when i taught classes like that I always got at least 1 referral for a consultation from each class. well worth it!
