Guest guest
Hey, just saw this post. Glad you are back Dawn. I know what you mean about trying to keep up with the list. I try to read everything but responding usually seems to be on the back burner. No, Seth hasn't said Mom in a long, long time. He did take his alphabet machine and spelled DAD when his Dad went in his room to play. Sounds like homeschooling has been good for . I sure miss schooling the girls. They are doing very well in public school, so I can't complain. Sooooooo good to hear from you again! Gail :-) Hey guys, so sorry it has been so long, you all have been in my thoughts, I have been reading when I can, and pray everyone is great, so sorry about things I have missed and want to stay in touch better. I read from the site but I just do not keep up like I want to. We are okay just so much that has been going on. is doing better but still the IBS issues and all. When he has his good spells I am so thankful cause it is if I see my boy again and he is really with me. for us, it is best that we homeschool cause when he is having a bad spell, I have no idea how our school could handle it. My dr. even understands now why we are home after all the trials with school that we have dealt with. anyway, I think he is having more good days and even through the holidays he wanted to be with everyone more than usual. He is saying a few more words. " bathtub water " and food words of course. and are you ready? Mama!!! I remember when Gail told us about Seth saying Mama and how happy we were (Gail, is he still saying it?) so you all dont think it still cant happen even at 9yrs. old!! he does sometimes say it to dad too but that is okay!!! he is just more aware and has more calm spells. still huge sensory issues of course so I have decided that sensory and tummy issues for are his biggest problems. but, you all, when we have weeks with no real aggression I am jumping for joy! when he starts hitting his face, crying and being aggressive, I, like you all, become the crazy woman detective. He is on previcid and miralax, they wanted to start a med. for Ibs called Zelnorm? or an antdepressent that is good for pain isses but I am not doing anything with meds yet cause things are so much better. I love headphones, strollers, swings, and we have started swimming, he has a love hate feeling for water, hard to regulate his body temp. from getting so cold and is sensory overloaded but still loves the water. we just got a neoprene suit. we will go to the school for a music class every week (dr. orders) where I can go with him, and still gets his ot and speech. sorry I am rambling! You all are so special to me, I am so sorry I have been so slack about writing, I am still so sad I did not get to come to the picnic!! I also am sad I missed birthdays, and good and happy things, and also trials, but when I read about them, you were in my prayers. I have tried to catch up some. I would love to be in, Janice, if the homeschool group is started, let me know if this happens and thanks for thinking of it, Sherry, are you glad too? but I really do also learn so much from this group and love you all!!!! Dawn, s mom (he will be 10 in April!)
