The purpose of this meeting is to provide those who were unable to participate at one of the four previous roundtable meetings one additional opportunity to participate in the roundtable meeting process. Registration to be either a participant or observer begins on January 22 at 10:00 a.m. Call the State Board office at (717) 787-3787 to register. Registrations are only accepted by telephone and are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited. The State Board requests that individuals/organizations who participated at one of the previous four roundtables not register to participate at this meeting. In light of space limitations and the Board wanting to accommodate representatives of as many organizations/interests as possible, the Board requests that groups and organizations limit participants to one per group/organization. Participants and observers may attend any or all portions of the roundtable meeting and will be asked at the time of registration which session or sessions they wish to attend. Participants are seated at the discussion table and are expected to participate in the discussion of each regulation, which is discussed section by section. Observers simply listen to the discussion and are not expected to participate. The roundtable meeting is divided into three separate time segments. Each will focus on a different set of regulations. 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon Chapter 14 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Chapter 16 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Chapter 711 (Department of Education) Directions to the Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit roundtable meeting may be obtained at: www.cliu.org/Agency/directions.aspx Copies of the current Chapters 14, 16 & 711 regulations may be accessed at: www.pacode.com/secure/data/022/022toc.html Persons with disabilities needing special accommodations to attend the roundtable meeting may contact Barbara Baker at or babaker@... at least 48 hours in advance so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
