What herbal supplements boost libido or reduce ssri side effects?

New to the group & found out Levitra cost $17 a pill. I wanted to hear

feedback from men & women who have tried the herbal route to deal w

ssri sexual side effects since my H & I both on ssri. In the past I

have tried Kava Kava & Valerian to relax me & reduce the anixety for

it is like having a glass of wine. For my H it puts him to sleep.

Welcome to the group. I think it is going to be hard to reverse sexual

dysfunction especially when on SSRI since its mechanism is very

strongly against it on majority of people. and I say dysfunction

because it is not a " side effect " , the drug is doing exactly what it is

suppose to do. Most people on here have enough trouble to get it back

after coming off of it. But let me list some of the herbs known to

boost libido on normal people.

Maca, Yohimbe, Tongkat ali, Ashwaghanda, Muira Puama ,Rhodia, Catuaba,

Horney Goat Weed, Tribulus, Mucuna Pruriens

They all work differently, so I would recommend you find out what

exactly they do before trying them. I would personally advice you guys

to taper off the SSRI but it would a disaster if both of you guys come

off of it together at the same time. If you are really wanting to stay

on SSRI, there are few people that have had sucess with precrip meds

along with SSRI. do some research on old messages since you are new,

there is much valuable infos that might broaden your options.
