Guest guest
Tori is still having trouble at school. Transitioning from the bus to the building, to the classroom, to library, to gym. She is stop-drop & flopping and getting more aggressive. I think my idea to keep her included as much as possible is back firing. I just think it is too much for her to handle. She is learning really well, but academics is usually done 1:1. She is reading about 26 words since Sept., but these behaviors are killing her ( & me). We have a meeting scheduled for 12/22 to discuss matters with the SD and her Support Team. Please know, they are not the ones pushing the issue. We love them! I think subbing in the Autistic Support classroom these past few days have opened my EYES wide and I now feel that I am asking too much of her and a smaller, less stimulating environment might serve her better.
