Hmm, I am going to have to go through my med notes. I will try to find what my naturopath gave me when I was going ....well, for lack of a better explanation, a tad crazy when I was PMSing. It made the world of difference and I can't believe he also got me so regular that I could tell my period was coming by 10 am on the 33rd day almost everytime! It is a bit crazy around here this week but I will try to find my papers. Also which ones have caused severe side effects and you would adamantly refuse to take again? we may have to finally try on something as she has become incredibly aggressive and violent for 2 weeks out of each month.(actually every 24 days) We are also looking into more natural solutions but they have not seemed to work in the past. We've used blue cohosh and natural progesterone and I'm speaking with MY doctor about natural hormones to regulate her period also. I'm crossposting this so I don't expect it to be a popular topic on some lists but any advice or help you could offer even privately would be appreciated. Sherry gldcst@... Sherry Sherry, It has been many years since I worked with any adolescent girls. I can tell you from my personal experience though that without bc pills I am very nasty each month. I am much like your but use words instead of fists. I too would be very wary of the shot. Way back when, I did work with a girl who got a nasty edge from the shot and unfortunately she was that way for a couple of months until her depo wore off. good luck, Karyn
Guest guest
<<the 33rd day almost everytime!>> 33 days??!!!! Oh to die for. Mine was always 30-33 days but is down to 23 and 13 of them are spent fighting her insane behaviors. I too had a very difficult time after age 42; very bad. I didn't actually try to kill people tho....even tho I felt like itLOL. Sherry
Guest guest
Well, I just had a physical and my dr. told me that I'm entering the early stages of menopause (at 35 Gasp!) I don't take BC pills to regulate anything since it wouldn't do any good - my period's so screwed up right now that I'm half tempted to tell the docs to just yank it all out so I can be done with it. I did try the Depo shot back in 2000, but I gained 40 pounds from the shots so I stopped that immediately. So sadly, I can't offer any help in this area. Jordan is only 11 but showing signs of starting puberty so I imagine I'll have to deal with this sooner or later (hopefully later) so I'll be watching out for any advice as well. Judi S. Guest guest
I have crazy cycles and just started Yasmin pills. It has been 10 years since I have taken birth control (I even have my tubes tied). I am trying to get off Paxil (due to weight issues) and my periods have been out of control. I am taking the pills continually so that I do not have a period. So far so good! I am liking the fewer cycles! I will keep you posted. Guest guest
Thanks Holly Getting off paxil can be a horrible experience. I hope you're going very slowly. I thought I was gonna die getting off of it- I was so dizzy and out of it for so long. This was before the docs acknowledged there was a problem with withdrawal. Good luck and yes, please keep me informed on Jasmin. Sherry
Guest guest
Yep. I went through he dizzies. I am weaning off just a little at a time. Some days are harder than others. The good news is the less I take, the easier the weight is coming off. That would be a miracle in itself! Holly Re: OT: BC Pills Thanks Holly Getting off paxil can be a horrible experience.
