Guest guest
When I was homeschooling the kids, (son age 9, daughter age 4) we talked about St. and that he was a historical figure characterized by generosity and that he lived a long time ago, we should emulate his giving spirit etc. A few weeks later, just days before Christmas we went to the cemetery to put little Christmas trees on my grandparent's graves. I hadn't been there in quite awhile and was having a hard time finding their markers. A lady who worked there saw my dilemma and assured me, not to worry, she was sure they were still there : ). Once we found them she started asking the kids if they were excited for Santa to come. My daughter answered " Santa lived a long time ago and he's dead now and he could be buried here somewhere for all I know " She looked at me like what have you done to your kids? What do you say? I mumbled something about historical.....generosity.......homeschool.......come on kids get back in the car. I think back to it and it just cracks me up every time!
