One thing that impresses me about homeopathy is that

it works with animals. Of course that still could be

the " clever Hans " effect, you know the horse that

could multiply but couldn't do square roots, cos his

keeper couldn't. So you need double blind tests, but I

don't know of many examples. Can't find the paper you

refer to ..

This is an interesting article on homeopathy:

According to the fundamental principles of homeopathy devised by Hahnemann, the best way to reverse medication side effects would be to treat someone with a homeopathic solution of the original medication that caused those side effects. But I'm not aware of any homeopathic practitioners who are doing this...

Here is the Wikipedia article on Hahnemann.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/_Hahnemann

There is an interesting quote from him concerning conventional

medicines:

" My sense of duty would not easily allow me to treat the unknown

pathological state of my suffering brethren with these unknown

medicines. The thought of becoming in this way a murderer or

malefactor towards the life of my fellow human beings was most

terrible to me, so terrible and disturbing that I wholly gave up my

practice in the first years of my married life and occupied myself

solely with chemistry and writing. "
