Unfortunately, there is also a lot of sensationalism and fear-mongering. I clicked on the link for Wellbutrin and there are a list of articles and abstracts with shocking titles and terrifying words in bold lettering. But when you actually read the abstracts they're hardly shocking. A 31 year old woman has seizures after taking 13.5g of bupropion in one dose. That's 30 times the maximum daily dose. A 26 year old man dies after taking 23 g of bupropion. 23 GRAMS! That's over 50 times the maximum daily dose in one gulp. I mean come on. If you swallowed 50 times the maximum daily dose of aspirin all at once it would probably kill you. Why do these pro-med and anti-med sites have to be so over the top? Having said that, he doesn't appear to be selling anything, and if you dig around there are some interesting articles and abstracts. This one by Dr. Sheldon H. Preskorn concerning liver enzymes is pretty good. (Dr. Preskorn is one of the few doctors who is actually trying to figure out what these meds do once there ingested.) http://www.outlookcities.com/psych/Dr_Preskorn.htm Has anyone had their liver enzymes tested? This is something I'd really like to have done. The recommendations for recovery that are given on this website are pretty much the usual suggestions. Eat healthy, avoid stress, try to relax, blah blah blah, and in 20 years maybe you'll feel better. I think there may actually be something to the "alkalize the body" idea though. My urine is always very acidic and when I've checked it on days when I feel a little better it usually is a lot more alkaline. But I can't figure out how to keep it more alkaline. Tyrosine and DLPA usually seem to make it more alkaline but not always. I'll have to research it some more.
